Welcome to The Australian Telecommunications Users Group Web Site - Communicate, Collaborate, Innovate
ATUG Broadband Awards – we are looking for Australia’s leaders in the effective use of broadband. ATUG has been at the forefront of the debate in Australia about broadband since 2001. Our interest is making sure broadband is available everywhere at affordable prices so users can experience firsthand the changes broadband makes possible. ATUG’s national search begins once again with the launch of the 2011 Broadband Awards with the winners announced at ATUG’s 2011 Gala Awards Networking Function in March.
This year, the judges noted specifically that continued take up of broadband by Australian business, corporations and government organisations is driving very significant innovation in service delivery. Judging Panel Chairman, Paul Morris, ATUG’s Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Consulcom said, “The advancements and improvements in the use of broadband have been impressive with nominations coming from all over Australia and from sectors such as small business, community, media, health, education, communications.”
“It is great to see the beginnings of the move to a Digital Economy with innovation spreading throughout the economy and no longer the province of big corporations. Broadband is really starting to make a difference to business and consumers.”
