ATUG Excellence Awards

2009 saw a record number of submissions for ATUG Excellence Awards. This is the 24th year ATUG has held the Excellence Awards to recognise and celebrate the achievements of industry and communications experts.

The Awards will be presented at ATUG’s 2009 Gala Networking Evening. The event promises to be a great start to an exciting year in communications. ATUG is looking forward to meeting all the key players in the sector at an event which will reflect the vibrancy and dynamism of the communications  marketplace. The 2009 Award Categories included:

Innovations in Communications – for product and service developers who have delivered a service or product that has contributed to the development of the communications industry and to the business sector in Australia.

Excellence in Communications Management - recognises the efforts of Communications Managers, drawing attention to examples of outstanding performance, management excellence and innovation, and best practice.

Best Communications Initiative - Large Business -  a communications initiative for a large business, which has efficiently and cost effectively contributed to the successful operation of that business.

Best Communications Initiative – Regional Business -  a communications initiative for business in a regional area, which has efficiently and cost effectively contributed to the successful operation of that business.

Best Communications Initiative- Small Business -  a communications initiative for small business, which has efficiently and cost effectively contributed to the successful operation of that business..

Carrier of the Year - for a Carrier that has made a significant contribution to Australian business telecommunications users. Nominees should demonstrate how they have provided cost effective and efficient services to the Australian business community.

ATUG will also be presenting awards for Communications Journalist of the Year, ATUG Chairman’s Award and ATUG Charles Todd medal for Communicator of the Year.

37 submissions made to the judging panel consisting of members from the ATUG Board and independent industry experts:
