ATUG's SME
Breakfast Series
ATUG’s SME Workshop Project is designed to engage with small business
users of communications services through a series of workshops to be conducted
in metropolitan areas in all States working with State Government and Industry
partners. The workshops will be based on the experience ATUG developed in 2007
when a number of trial workshops were run with industry support. The workshops
will include discussions on the use of communications for innovation, experiences
with communications services any issues or concerns in accessing services or
support arrangements. ATUG’s
SME project objectives include;
To identify issues of interest to small business users of communications services
through workshop discussions with relevant stakeholders
To inform and educate small business users and their representative organisations
about telecommunications issues, which may include (by way of example only)
availability of services, applications of services, pricing, switching processes
and service quality, e-security, complaint handling and escalation.
To represent the issues raised to the Government, regulators (the Australian
Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) and the Australian Competition and
Consumer Commission (ACCC)) and self-regulatory bodies in telecommunications.
To foster industry awareness of telecommunications issues of relevance to
small business users
To ensure government and industry policy developments reflect issues of interest
to small business
