"We have had renovations done by Mark Redding. The quote given was very accurate. Mark is a great communicator very honest. There was not much hassle. He managed the project to no fault. All his employees were a pleasure to have around and good at what they do. I have nothing but praise for Mark and Co, and strongly recommend him to anyone thinking of building or renovating. " (more)

"I have had many dealings with the Buckmaster's and some of their staff and have always found them to be an extremely friendly bunch of guys, which include father and sons, apprentices, and contractors they may have employed at those times. The guys are fun, honest, easy to get along with. They get the job done and still don't mind a yak or a coffee with their clients. A great business to use and well suited to all tasks required of them. The family has a long tradition of working with wood and repairs and almost anything. I believe Roger is a master builder and has been since before emigrating to Australia many years ago. They are a fantastic business and if you use their service, you won't be sorry. " (more)

What is a Building Contractor?
A building contractor is responsible in all aspects of a construction project. Most building contractors are self-employed. They hire skilled and construction workers for their client?s projects. However, there are also some building contractors who work for a company.? ??
Generally, a building contractor handles all kinds of workers on a construction site. He also makes sure that the property being constructed complies with all the building codes that the government has set. A building contractor is also the one who monitor all the project?s expenses and ensure that it will be completed on or before the deadline.
To acquire a certain project, a self-employed building contractor places bids on construction projects against other building contractors. Whoever wins the bid will hire subcontractors who would work for him for a particular duration of time depending on the kind of project secured.
Building contractors are of different kinds. There are those who specialized in residential construction while there are also some who are more adept in constructing commercial buildings like supermarkets, restaurant, commercial condominiums and the like. There are also industrial building contractors. These contractors are focused on constructing buildings intended for industrial use. These buildings include power plants, factories and production sites.? ??
Most building contractors are licensed civil engineers while some of them have no formal trainings but continue to progress in the industry because of long years of experience. But whatever their educational backgrounds are, all of them start on doing small construction projects and then pursue larger projects eventually.
A building contractor should have an extremely high sense of responsibility.? Since he would be supervising and contracting a number of people, he is accountable for all the mistakes committed by his staff. However, if a building contractor carefully chooses the people who would work for him, problems are more likely avoided.
