This month's
WA crossXconnect features a presentation from Amcom's COO, Richard
Whiting, on Dense Wave Division Multiplexing and Gigabit Ethernet
Capacity.
Amcom has deployed a new network with a DWDM (Dense Wave Division
Multiplexing) backbone ring and Gigabit Ethernet capability. The
network topology is a ring based, ‘self healing’ architecture,
providing additional resilience and redundancy to customers.
This presentation will describe the process from network design,
vendor selection, financing through to implementation, commissioning
