What is Excavation?
Excavation is a process of removing rocks, volume of soil, and other materials from a particular site, usually in order to put it on good use. This process is carried out through the use of heavy equipments like excavators, backhoes, bulldozers and dump trucks. Though site excavation is commonly done for the construction of good foundations for houses and buildings, site excavation is also done to conduct archeological researches in a particular area.
In constructing buildings or houses, site excavation is considered as a necessary early stage. This procedure makes the construction site free from any obstacles or defects that may cause problems to the foundation of the building or house to be built if not removed. Sometimes, excavation is being done on a construction site just to ensure that the materials over it are of high quality.

Some areas which are intended for growing crops are sometimes excavated to check whether the earth materials present on it are rich in nutrients. If the excavated earth materials lack nutrients, the excavated are is filled with healthy earth materials.
